    Hello fellow AO folks,

Do any of you know if it's possible to hide the "Copy Protocol to New Document" button from the PI role, yet keep it visible to the IACUC role, without needing to involve the Cayuse support team?  E.g., can this be done via Site Administration or Expert?

I've asked our animal users several times to not click that button, but every month, several unnecessary protocol drafts end up getting created.  Hiding the button from them should prevent that--if it's possible.  I'm hoping someone can share a solution :)

    Cheers,

    Cheryl

    Hi Cheryl,

Yes, we did this long ago in Expert.

    On DEV:

Navigate to IACUC/ Alerts - Approved Protocols/ Alert Events/ Copy Protocol.

Edit event and  uncheck PI in Roles.

    Build Document pages 14.

Load one COM server to build Events.

    Migrate to PROD

    Hi Tim,

Wow, thank you so much for unearthing and sharing your process--I tried it in DEV and it worked!  Now I just need the IT team to promote it to PROD (easier said than done around here...).

    Cheers,

    Cheryl
