    @Simon Helton ,

    How are we able to print out our Human Ethics Submissions Templates, similar to what is posted in "Form Templates" that are being shared? We have Residents, PIs, Directors, Chairmans, etc who would like to view our templates before signing into CAYUSE-IRB Human Ethics. Currently when I try to print, it gets "chopped" up and only able to view one section at a time. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Amanda!

    I sent you a separate message, but for the benefit of the community, yeah, I just worked with another customer on this a couple of months ago. It sounds like you're doing all of the right things (upload as a template, preview it, work through the form to answer "yes" and marking every question so that branching logic populates all options, then printing to PDF). If you don't populate anything in the fields, you're going to get a lot of white space between sections since the text boxes are fill spaces. My concern is with your saying "chopped". Is the PDF text falling off the page? Happy to help troubleshoot with you!

    Warm regards,

    Darlene

    Thanks, Amanda, for meeting with me to walk you through the best way to do this and for pointing out the need for a "create PDF" button on the "preview" screen. That was great feedback to take back to our product team!

    For the benefit of the community, here is what Amanda and I did:

    1. Upload form template into your test UAT environment as either an "initial" application.  (Note: If you want to preserve that UAT initial form that was published, make sure it is exported and re-uploaded as a template. If you skipped this step, go into your production environment and export THAT form to upload back into your test UAT when you're done printing another template to PDF)
    2. Publish it (it will replace any existing template you have in the existing form you have currently).
    3. Create a new application as an IRB User (PI role)
    4. Go through the entire application and mark every question as a "yes" and check every box on each page to ensure all of the branching logic opens.
    5. Click "Create PDF" button on the the same page or save the application, exit out and click "PDF" to save the file as a PDF document. There will be a lot of empty white space where free text fields were branched as a response to a "yes" or otherwise marked question.
    6. Distribute as needed

    I hope this helps!

    Warm regards,

    Darlene
