I know I mentioned in my last post that we don't typically make announcements for new releases in the Connect Community, but here's round two because Sponsored Projects 4.0 is going through so many exciting changes! Our team has been hard at work, and we are delighted to introduce a series of feature updates, based on your feedback, that we are confident will make managing your projects even more seamless.
1. In-App Reporting Fields for Historical Data:
We understand the importance of transparency and traceability. That's why we have expanded the data available in in-app reports, downloadable CSV files, and dashboards to include information from the Record History and Routing tabs. Now, the Created By field and all History tab columns are accessible in reports, making it easier for you to track the history of your projects.
2. Editing Project Titles:
Users with SP System Administrator roles can now edit project titles directly from the project's details page. Any changes made will automatically reflect across all records within the project, offering you the ability to correct typos or update project titles as information evolves.
3. Record Revision:
We recognize the need for flexibility in managing records after the "In Development" or "Set Up in Progress" status. Users can now put otherwise read-only records into "edit" mode, enabling changes without altering the record's status. This enhancement ensures better record management and accuracy for all record types and you can say goodbye to having to re-route records to make corrections!
All SP System Administrators will have this functionality, and we've added two new unit-assignable roles: Proposal Editors and Award Editors that will also have editing privileges.
Here's a breakdown of the statuses that can now be edited:

4. Routing Tab Improvements:
Experience a more streamlined workflow with the new Review Order column in the Routing tab, matching the order in the rule builder. The Decision column has been renamed to the Status column for consistency, and date columns have been updated across all rule types. These enhancements provide a clearer view of the routing order rules and the overall workflow state.
5. Search Enhancements:
Responding to your feedback, we have implemented highly-requested search improvements. Now, users can enjoy a fuzzy search when looking for units and external organizations, enabling quicker and easier searches.
We are committed to continuously improving Sponsored Projects to meet your evolving needs. We hope you enjoy these new features and enhancements now available in UAT! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support team.
Check out the Release Notes for dates & details.
As always, thank you for being a valued part of our community These improvements are a direct result of your feedback and suggestions. Tell all of your friends and feel free to reply on this thread with feedback.
