    The Lead Award Analyst will work closely with the Associate Director of Pre Award and internal Pre Award staff to assess long-term strategies, operations, and internal processes.  Under the direction of the Associate Director, this position will assist in leading the efforts of the Pre Award team to review proposal submissions for compliance and provide support to  campus research support staff and faculty. Mentor, train, and assist in the oversight of Pre Award team members.

    • Review proposals to ensure that they are in compliance with University policy, sponsor regulations, and compliant with federal and state law.
    • Manage proposal submission including, but not limited to, ensuring the accuracy of budgets, institutional commitments, securing appropriate internal
      reviews and approvals for regulatory compliance, documenting collaborative arrangements.
    • Lead Pre-Award negotiations with sponsor representatives.
    • Supports investigators in responding to Just-In-Time requests and assists Pre-Award Team.
    • Ensures files are complete for awarded applications and secures missing information from principal investigators and/or administrators.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned, including support on special projects, as required.

    Minimum Qualifiations:

    Bachelor's degree and six (6) year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
