    The Center for Translational Neuroscience and Center on Brain Injury Research and Training within the Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon have an opening for an Assistant Director of Finance and Administration serving both units. Remote applicants will be considered! We are looking for an experienced Grant Administrator with both pre- and post-award experience.

    The Center for Translational Neuroscience (CTN) and the Center on Brain Injury Research and Training (CBIRT) are two organizational units within the Department of Psychology. The Assistant Director of Finance and Administration has responsibility and oversight of all fiscal and administrative operations at CTN and CBIRT. Responsibilities include budget management and sponsored project administration, including pre-award proposal development and submission, post-award grant administration of $17M grant portfolio, and compliance (Uniform Guidance, sponsor terms and conditions).  

    This position will provide payroll oversight and human resource support (hiring, evaluations, promotions/terminations) for administrative and research staff of approximately 50-60 classified employees, tenured and non-tenure track faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate and undergraduate students. This position will also have oversight of procurement activities and facilities management. The Assistant Director bears primary responsibility for following established policies and procedures and ensuring labs within CTN and CBIRT comply with University, State, and federal laws. This position requires a thorough knowledge of existing University policies and procedures across departments, as well as a willingness and ability to think creatively about best practices. The position will participate in strategic planning, providing recommendations on financial and operational directions for the Centers.
