    Grants Management Analyst

    This is a remote position

    Job Description

     

    Analyzes, identifies and provides pre-award and non-financial post-award assistance to the employees in obtaining and managing sponsored awards. Disseminates funding agency guidelines and funding opportunity information. Maintains Grants Management software system.

     

    Job Responsibility

     

    Analyzes, identifies and prepares new, non-competing/competing continuation grant applications and other progress reports; facilitates electronic and paper submissions.

    Assists in the review and negotiation of investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trial agreements.

    Monitors all phases of grant and contract award to ensure compliance with Federal regulations, financial requirements, and sponsor and institutional guidelines; collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure financial compliance and proper accounting of externally and internally sponsored funds.

    Participates in 'Kick-Off' meetings with stakeholders to review and discuss the terms of award, roles and responsibilities, and schedule of deliverables.

    Participates in review meetings to ensure compliance with terms of award; also participates in Close-Out meetings to ensure timely submission of final reports or requests for no-cost extensions. Assists with the scheduling and coordination of workshops and seminars.

    Identifies funding opportunities; develops Grants Management Newsletter; generates database reports for administration.

    Assists with compilation of data for audits and Annual Reports of External Support; reviews government regulations, policy changes and other agency notices; disseminates information.

    Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

    Job Qualification

     

    Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

    1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

    Sr. Manager, Grants Management  -- 

     This position is remote; however, as this is a leadership position, travel to the campus from time to time may be required.

    Job Description

     

    Manages, plans, organizes and evaluates the staff and activities of Grants Management. Provides customer-focused guidance to investigators by managing activities associated with pre-award and non-financial post-award management of sponsored research proposals and awards.

     

    Job Responsibility

     

    Provides leadership to Grants Management team members, supervisors, and managers by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.

    Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.

    Develops and monitors strategic program operating goals, objectives and budget.

    Reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action.

    Provides customer-focused guidance to investigators by managing activities associated with pre-award and non-financial post-award management of sponsored research proposals and awards, which includes, but is not limited to government, non-government and other sponsors.

    Authorizes and submit proposals to external sponsors.

    Acts as a consultant for faculty on matters related to the management of their grants portfolio.

    Serves as the primary institutional liaison for external sponsors; coordinates with other central offices and collaborating sites on behalf of investigators to support coordinated management of their grants portfolio.

    Ensures institutional compliance with federal, state, agency and other applicable governing regulations, policies and procedures concerning sponsored research.

    Job Qualification

     Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience..

    Certified Research Administrator(CRA) or Certified Pre Award Research Administrator(CPRA), required.

    6-10 years of technical experience and 5-7 years of leadership / management experience, required.
