    The Research Services Manager oversees the grant and research support center that serves Paul G. Allen School for Global Animal Health​ faculty and programs in the US, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

    Duties of the position include Supervising staff; managing and working directly with pre- and post-award grants management from proposal submission to post-award management to closeout, and organizational change management and strategic planning to lead innovation in the functions and structure of the school.

    Requires a good understanding of administrative and organizational needs in a large research unit in order to make recommendations to leadership about procedural change, and to effectively implement this change.

    The manager and team provide grants management services to at least 30 faculty members with programs nationally and internationally. Because this position is responsible for implementing change to the status quo, the manager strives to listen to and empower their employees, as well as being a colleague with a good balance of empathy and ability to hold others accountable.

    The position will support work across multiple time zones and must be available as needed for meetings. This will include early morning, or late night, and occasionally on the weekends.

    This position will be primarily based at our WSU Pullman Campus; however, remote/hybrid opportunities may be available and can be discussed during the interview process.
