Hi Cayuse Community,
I just received a question from a community member asking how the IACUC Office or IBC Office role can initiate and submit an amendment on behalf of a PI. I wanted to share this resource with all of you as well.
A few notes:
- The Animal Oversight and Hazard Safety applications only support one open version of a protocol at a time. A new amendment will be blocked if there is an open amendment or pending De Novo renewal.
- Adding or modifying attachments is not a significant enough edit to proceed with an amendment. An edit within the protocol form will also be needed. Most institutions will add a note in the relevant section documenting the administrative update.
- The Submit page is hidden from the office role within the amendment draft. To access it, navigate to the last page of your protocol form and use the navigation buttons to access the Submit page.
- In collaboration with another Cayuse community member, the Product team is evaluating ways to expand the submission rights for the Animal Oversight and Hazard Safety office roles. I'll keep you posted as we make progress on this initiative.
