The position is open to a full time equivalent of 50-100%.  Part-time or full-time appointments are available within the stated range. Permanent remote or telework may be considered.

The University of Iowa, Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP) seeks a motivated, organized and service-oriented professional to assume a key grant reviewer and research administrator role.  Responsibilities include performing detailed review and submission of complex grant applications to various funding agencies; meeting sponsor deadlines; and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and University policies and procedures.  Candidates should have prior experience in research administration.  Experience in proposal development or research will be useful.  The ideal candidate will exert independent judgment in decision-making and be accustomed to applying critical thinking skills in a fast-paced, transactional environment.  The successful candidate will support research and scholarly activity by reviewing and administering externally funded proposals and agreements and assuring ethical and regulatory compliance on behalf of the University.
