The Senior Financial Administrator will provide professional level financial analysis to the Department of Surgery Division of Trauma Research. Position requires the appropriate application of a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the field of research accounting, post-award administration and financial analysis. Requires a knowledge of FAR Clauses, Uniform Guidance, OTA's, budgeting. Monthly duties will include the reconciliation of various awards and discretionary accounts. Includes analysis and distribution of monthly complex financial reports, expense and revenue recordings and expense approvals, maintaining accurate data as well as assisting the director with the yearly budget process. Accurate personnel effort distributions and the processing of subawards, consulting agreements and amendments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required. Master's degree or Certification in Research Administration (CRA) is preferred. He/she must have advanced knowledge of accounting principles, experience in medical research, grant/contract administration and familiarity with funding agencies, preferably the Department of Defense. Cayuse (Department Manager software) experience desirable.
