    Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator

    The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at Oklahoma State University (OSU) is seeking a Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator. CAS is OSU's largest and most diverse college and supports grant-related activities in the arts and humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The selected individual will be part of a team that provides support for the grant-related activities of CAS faculty and will develop expertise to support faculty from a subset of departments. The main duties will include 1) prepare and review proposal budgets and grant proposal materials for submission to federal, state, and private agencies for external funding, and 2) negotiate awards, manage grant accounts, and prepare financial reports.

    Minimum Qualifications include:

    High school diploma/GED and four years of experience in sponsored programs administration or another closely related field; or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Management, Research Administration, or related fields. Additional sponsored programs administration experience is necessary for maximum pay. Knowledge obtained by a combination of specialized training and experience is desired. Required skills include: demonstrated proficiency in time management, task prioritization, problem solving, and effective, communication (written and oral); ability to work independently and as a member of a team; excellent organizational and record keeping skills with attention to detail; proficient with MS Excel, Outlook, and Word, and Adobe Acrobat; and demonstrated interest/ability to learn new programs and processes.

    Preferred Qualifications include:

    High school diploma/GED and ten years of experience in sponsored programs administration; or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Management, Research Administration, or related fields and six or more years of experience in sponsored programs administration.

    The Hiring Range for this position is $38,040 to $60,600 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experiences.
