    Job Summary:

    Provide PRE-AWARD sponsored programs activities to DASNR department faculty and staff, including, but not limited to proposal development, budget development, and proposal submission.
    *Proposal submission
    *Maintain a thorough knowledge of sponsors' programs, regulations and requirements for proposal development and submission. Review and evaluate proposals and assist faculty in meeting proposal requirements, including fiscal accuracy and administrative compliance.
    *Advise faculty and staff in preparing appropriate proposal budgets, including the calculation of indirect costs, and determining the allowability of indirect costs.
    *Coordinate supporting proposal documentation with project personnel that may be housed in other colleges at OSU or at other institutions.
    *Maintain a thorough knowledge of electronic proposal submission programs and coordinate the submission of electronic proposals.
    *Maintain a thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to sponsored programs administration ? federal, state, and private. This includes OMB Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, & Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, CAS, FAR and the State of Oklahoma purchasing policies. Also maintain a thorough knowledge of University policies concerning sponsored programs, intellectual property, compliance, and other related issues. These regulations are revised frequently.

    Education & Experience

    Position Qualifications:

    Required: 

     High School/GED with 4 years of experience in Sponsored Programs administration or closely related field

    Proficient communication skills
    Maintains a high degree of professionalism
    Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills
    Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
    Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
    Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
    Highly thorough and dependable
    Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure 

    Preferred: 

     Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field with 4 years of experience in sponsored programs/research administration

    Certified Research Administrator, Certified Pre-award Research Administrator
