Dear Colleagues,
Sponsored Projects Services (SPS) at the University of Arizona is searching for Senior Research Administrators (Grant and Contract Administrator IV) with experience with NASA, Jet Propulsion Lab, Space Telescope Science Institute and the like who can provide proposal support for investigators within or affiliated with Steward Observatory. The research conducted at Steward Observatory spans the entire field of astronomy. Our faculty, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students are involved in the construction of astrophysical models, the design and fabrication of mirrors and other optics, and the direct observation of stars and galaxies through some of the world's most advanced telescopes. Last year Steward Observatory investigators submitted ~200 proposals for a total anticipated cost of ~$100M.
Selected candidates will join the SPS Proposal Support team that currently assists faculty in Departments within the College of Science as well as in centralized Research Institutes and Centers with administrative proposal development, including budgeting, internal routing, compliance review, and proposal submission.
