The Research Grants Specialist serves as the primary day-to-day liaison with research departments in integrating and coordinating all grant submittals and research contract research finance for the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute (EACRI) and the programs and services of Providence Cancer Institute. The Research Grants Specialist is responsible for performing pre- and post-award duties for grants and contracts. The position is also responsible for monitoring industry-sponsored clinical trial budgets and contracts to ensure prompt reconciliation of deficits.
Required qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with major courses in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR equivalent education/experience

3 years Grant/contract coordination experience with responsibility for monitoring the use of grant funds.

Experience in a research institution in the areas of both clinical and basic science.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with clinical trial accounting and/or working in a research setting.
