Research Advancement Administrator
Job Description
The School of Computing & Augmented Intelligence (SCAI) Research Advancement (RA) Team is looking for a Pre-Award Research Advancement Administrator.
Research Advancement Administrators are part of a collaborative team directly supporting researchers making impactful advances in research globally.
The successful candidate will be paid a signing bonus of $2,000 within 30 days of start date, and $2,000 bonus after completing 6 months of employment with the department.
This position is located at the Tempe campus and requires physical attendance at the Tempe campus.
Salary Range
$42,480 - $59,000 per year; DOE

Essential Duties
Budget Management
Develops budgets and budget narratives in conjunction with investigator provided information and sponsor guidelines.
Creates budgets using accepted university systems and tools, and sponsor budget formats
Budgets cost share and obtains appropriate approvals.
Compliance Management
Completes additional sponsor required forms, checking for compliance (current and pending support, biosketches) according to university policies and guidelines
Assists sub-recipients with questions related to completing sub-recipient forms
Manages post submission action items requested by the sponsor such as just-in-time requests, revised budgets, scope of work changes, and additional certifications
Administrative
Independently reviews funding announcements and provides guidance on eligibility and sponsor requirements to investigators
Independently reviews proposals against guidelines for compliance before sending to the Office of Research and Sponsored Project Administration
Provides guidance and counsel during development, pre-submission review which includes document management. Uploads grant and contract proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies to verify and ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable regulatory and financial compliance requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Three years of experience in a field appropriate to the area/unit of assignment OR Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skill and abilities have been achieved.

Experience in Excel and web-based tools.
