Come Join Oregon State University! We are seeking a Director of Sponsored Programs, Award & Financial Management. The Director of Sponsored Programs, Award and Financial Management leads and is responsible for the operations of the award management, financial management, analysis, and accounting units within our central sponsored programs office.
The Office for Sponsored Research and Award Administration (OSRAA) resides within the Research Office. Its mission is to provide research administration leadership, achieved through the full sponsored project "lifecycle" by supporting proposal submission, award negotiation/acceptance, research costing and analysis, award management, financial management, and closeout of awards that support Oregon State University's continuous search for new knowledge and solutions. This Director provides guidance and advice to units including: the Managing Grant and Contract Administrator and team of grant and contract administrators (post-award non-financial), Managing Fiscal Coordinator and team of Fiscal Coordinators, and Managing Grant Financial Analyst (including Grant Accountants and Grant and Contract Coordinators) on issues of legality, risk, focus of effort, and conflict resolution (post-award financial). They will leverage the skill and expertise of these units and take strategic actions regarding staffing models, including hiring, performance management, and retention decisions.
The Director will continue to build a unified and integrated organization focused on teamwork, compliance, and exceptional customer service, in which all staff understands the importance of their work and the work of their co-workers considering the overarching goals of supporting the research community of Oregon State University.
