    POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

    Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development, Division of Research Administration (DRA) is seeking to hire a Compliance Manager. The principle responsibilities are as follows:

    • Research, develop and implement financial compliance monitoring program for the Knoxville Campus sponsored projects.
    • Responsible for on-boarding and training new team members, guiding their development.
    • Provide regulatory guidance to faculty, department heads, and departmental accounting staff.
    • Review grant and contract activity to ensure financial compliance.
    • Hybrid/remote work options available (see below).

    Basic Requirements:

    Education: Bachelor's degree

     

    Required Experience: Six or more years in post-award management of sponsored grants and contracts, preferably at a comprehensive research university or institution or eight years of related work experience with background in accounting, auditing, risk assessment or regulatory compliance.  Experience with computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office.

     

    (Preferred Experience):

    Knowledge of UT fiscal, human resource and research policies; Knowledge of SAP and/or Cayuse; Professional certification, such as Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
