General Discussions

Hi all,

You might notice that below each discussion in the community is a poll about interest in one-on-one meetings with other people in research administration. Just to offer a little context, there are some tools we could use that would facilitate connections between people based on their geography, interests, or other factors. For instance, one of the tools would send everyone who opts-in an email every week or two asking if they want to meet a new person that week, then match them with someone for a brief Zoom call.

The idea is that it would be a way to meet people and network, but you could also hear how things work at other institutions and learn from each other.

The poll is to do a pulse check to see if there's interest in this from the members of the Cayuse community. Having discussed it with a few folks, the reaction ranges from extroverts who think it sounds fun to introverts who think it sounds like punishment, so I'm hoping to get a bigger sample!
