    Minimum Position Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in relevant area and two years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.

    Special Conditions

    Psychology is especially interested in candidates with the following:
    -Experience with federal submission processes (Fastlane, Grants.gov).
    -Experience in developing grant budgets, processing documentation within designated timeframes to meet deadlines.
    -Excellent conceptual, writing, editing, oral, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    -Experience working with teams (i.e., faculty, staff, administrators, funding agency representatives, community partner representatives, and grant writings from other institutions) on collaborative projects.
    -Proficient with computer applications (Internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel), web-based applications, and resources.
    -Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
    -The ability to assist faculty and staff in researching and analyzing internal and external reports and data for use in need statements and program design components of grant proposals is highly desired, as is demonstrated experience in grant proposal writing.

    Job Duties

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Actively researches relevant funding opportunities pertinent to Psychology faculty requesting such assistance and assists them in pursuing these opportunities, including attending proposal planning meetings when possible. Works closely with all faculty and institutions involved in grant proposals, as well as the Division of Research Support and Innovation, to streamline the proposal submission process, with the goal of reducing the time faculty have to devote to submissions. Coordinates grant submissions among researchers in the Psychology Department and at collaborating universities by setting deadlines, integrating diverse source material, and compiling various resources for final submission. Edits grant applications (including narratives) for clarity, content, cohesiveness, and consistency and prepares for submission to National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Institute of Education Sciences, Military Funding Sources, and other potential funding sources, including foundations. Serves as liaison to administrators and staff in the Division of Research and Innovation.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

    In coordination with the Division of Research and Innovation, assists faculty in creating and revising draft budgets, including preparing budgets for subcontracts with other institutions and narratives for budget justification In coordination with Grants Accounting, monitors billing and payments related to subcontracts. Generates financial reports, as needed, for sponsor progress reports, faculty, CAPR report, etc. In coordination with the Division of Research and Innovation, aids in reviewing and accepting MOUs, material transfer agreements, etc.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Creates, updates, and maintains boiler plate documents needed for grant submissions, including resources pages etc. Ensures all documents (narratives, budgets, forms, etc.) comply with sponsor requirements. Maintains database of grant proposal submitted by faculty in the department of Psychology Attends on- and off- campus training to remain current with described duties.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Prepares and routes internal proposal summary forms through Cayuse prior to submission. Creates and routes advance account requests when needed. Other duties as assigned.
