Position Description
|
|
The Office of Research Services, University of Louisville, seeks a candidate to provide staff support to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). The IACUC, which is comprised of researchers, veterinarians, and community representatives, is responsible for compliance oversight of the University's animal care and use program.
The IACUC Coordinator administers the review processes and thereby assists the Committee in ensuring compliance with applicable federal and institutional regulations and guidelines. Under the guidance of the Assistant Vice President for Research Services, the Coordinator will develop and manage comprehensive and consistent compliance-related educational training for faculty, staff, and students. Key responsibilities include management of committee member project review and coordination of semi-annual laboratory, facility, programmatic assessments and supervision of IACUC staff. Work experience in an academic setting is desirable. Candidate must have proven oral, written communication and organizational skills. Other desirable expertise includes spreadsheet, word processing, database and webpage management.
