Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio is seeking applicants for two Grants Accountant positions in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for various post-award accounting functions related to the management of externally funded grants and contracts at Wright State University, which may include aspects of award set-up in the University's accounting system (Banner), sponsor billing, and fiscal reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field with 1-3 years relevant professional experience. (Internship experience accepted.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in fiscal aspects (fund accounting and/or fiscal reporting) of extramurally funded projects in an academic environment. Familiarity with Federal and State regulations pertaining to grants and contracts. Proven analytical and critical thinking skills. Experience with SCT Banner, a strong understanding of accounting functions in Excel, and familiarity with Excel's analysis tools.
