The Financial Compliance Manager will be responsible to proactively monitor, and take action on, financial post-award areas of concern. Some examples of areas to monitor are generally unallowable expenses on sponsored projects, cost transfers, and out of sync burn rates. The Financial Compliance Manager will work collaboratively with the Office of Sponsored Programs staff, the department research administrators, and central office to ensure processes are in place for compliance. This position will be expected to suggest workflow or process improvements when internal controls are inadequate.
This position has the opportunity to be a fully remote position.

Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of research administration experience. In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma (or GED) plus 9 years of research administration experience will be accepted. Demonstrated knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and applicable federal and state regulations, including the Uniform Guidance.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Possess superior analytical abilities and skills to address sophisticated problems or issues and to propose logical solutions. Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or Certified Financial Research Administrator (CFRA) Demonstrated experience with policy development, system implementations, and business process improvements.
