    Job Summary

    This position will direct key programs, projects, and manage processes on behalf of the EVPR's Office.  Build relationships and collaborate with internal and external partners.  Responsible for financial decisions and has authority for making financial commitments on behalf of the EVPR's Office.  Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Faculty, staff, EVPR, Vice Presidents, GT staff, external partners, and administratorsThis position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty, research staff, EVRP, and research staff This position will supervise: Assigned staff.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duty 1 -
    Manage institute-level research administration analysis and decisions including financial commitments and cost share decisions on behalf of the EVPR's Office

    Job Duty 2 -
    Coordinate and develop research administration processes and policies

    Job Duty 3 -
    Write letters of Institutional support on behalf of the EVPR's Office

    Job Duty 4 -
    Review and Approve organizational Conflicts of Interest

    Job Duty 5 -
    Supervise and support staff engaged in institutional research administration and administrative support for EVPR's Office leadership

    Job Duty 6 -
    Coordinate research communication efforts in partnership with Institute Communications

    Job Duty 7 -
    Manage multiple standing relationships and ad-hoc committees and projects

    Job Duty 8 -
    Perform other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements
    Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Other Required Qualifications
    Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours (due to client shift schedules, project requirements).

    Required Experience
    Five to seven years of job related experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Additional Preferred Qualifications
    Certified Research Administrator (CRA)

    Preferred Educational Qualifications
    Master's  Degree

    SKILLS
    Must have a deep and broad understanding of research administration. Proactive decision-making and problem-solving skills to respond to high-pressure situations. Excellent customer service skills with proven knowledge of how to work effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external customers on complex issues and problems. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines. Establish effective working relationships to accomplish objectives, an expert in working independently, and in a team environment
