Research Program Coordinator, College of Liberal Arts (CLA), Oregon State University. Responsibilities include managing the activities that support the grant and contract efforts of CLA. The coordinator is a proactive partner with CLA administration and faculty identifying and pursuing research funding opportunities and maintains an in-depth knowledge of university and granting agency requirements and proposal and award processes and issues. The position incumbent maintains strong working relationships with both OSU research administrators and external funding agencies contacts. The coordinator will also provide pre-award support for grants and contracts (including budgeting); provide policy review, interpretation, and guidance; and will monitor and report on CLA research activities to college administration. Position is a full time (1.0 FTE), 12-month fixed-term appointment. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in social science, arts and humanities or other closely related discipline with 2 years demonstrated relevant work experience OR 5 years of comparable work experience; demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; and the ability to be self-directed, but also work effectively in a team setting. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in social sciences, arts and humanities or related discipline; knowledge of OSU software systems (e.g., Cayuse, Banner) or non-OSU equivalents; experience in preparing proposals for external funding agencies and use of the online submission systems such as grants.gov, FastLane, or other prominent granting agencies; and a demonstrated awareness of inequities within the funding landscape, and commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity throughout the funding process.
