The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the evening/night operations of ongoing clinical trials within the Department of Surgery. This position will work closely with the Principal Investigators (PIs), study staff and clinical staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, screening patients to determine eligibility/verification of enrollments, facilitating study activities, coordinating/conducting informed consent discussions, assisting with consent issues, and monitoring patients for complications and outcomes.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in clinical trials. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted per University guidelines.
The incumbent must demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, motivation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
This position will require the ability to work evening/overnight hours with flexibility in shift start times.
Weekend hours optional.
Ideal candidate will have clinical trials experience. Equivalent combination of education/work experience may be substituted per University guidelines. CRC certification preferred by not required.
