    Dear Research Administrators,

The School of Social Ecology at the University of California, Irvine is seeking a Senior Contract and Grant Analyst for those interested in a remote working environment.

The Contracts and Grants Unit provides quality assistance to faculty, researchers, and other academic personnel affiliated with the school to obtain (pre-award) and manage (post-award) sponsored awards that support research, training, and other scholarly activities. The Contracts and Grants Unit staff ensures timely, accurate, and responsible stewardship of funds by carrying out these administrative activities within UC, UCI, Federal, State, and agency policies, procedures, and regulations. The Development, Disorder, and Delinquency Laboratory at UC Irvine, under the direction of Elizabeth Cauffman Ph.D., is currently accepting applications for a Senior Contract & Grant Analyst. The Senior Contract & Grant Analyst will spend most of his/her/their time working on the Young Adult Court (YAC) study of Orange County, which is an interagency collaboration between the district attorney office, the probation department, defense attorneys, the Court, Orangewood Foundation, and UC Irvine. The YAC is a novel court in Orange County that was designed to address the specific needs of justice-system-involved young adult men through providing individualized and developmentally appropriate services in the community. In addition to the YAC study, the person selected for this role also may be involved with the Road to Reentry study. The Road to Reentry study is a randomized controlled trial examining whether young men who receive specialized treatment and programming while incarcerated have reduced recidivism and more positive outcomes than young men who receive traditional programming while in jail. The young men in the Road to Reentry Study will be followed for 3-12 months while incarcerated and 3 years after being released back into the community. The staff assists with the submission of contract and grant proposals from all prospective sponsors including but not limited to the Federal Government, Private Foundations, and For-Profit Entities. The staff also monitors and reports on funds received from outside sponsors and internal UCI sources and provides general guidance on the proper stewardship of those funds.
