The Assistant Program Administrator for the LITES Network in the Department of Surgery will aid in managing daily business activities for the >$100 million Department of Defense LITES contract as well as future contracts.
The candidate will assist the Program Administrator with providing input on clinical trials such as protocol development, site initiations & monitoring, regulatory adherence, project management, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
They will also be responsible for managing 1 to 5 LITES staff. The incumbent will work closely with principal investigators for the projects, the Program Administrator, the data coordinating center, and DoD partners.
The incumbent may represent the Program Administrator at various fiscal, data, or other meetings.
This position will assist with implementing policies and procedures (both for internal LITES staff and to ensure the execution of effective clinical trials) that support the delivery of services and ensuring compliance with established professional, regulatory, and organizational standards and requirements.
The incumbent will act as a liaison between various disciplines and departments.
The successful candidate with represent LITES to internal and external constituents to promote a positive image and facilitate collaborative relationships.
Well-qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate very strong organizational, analytical, planning, and communication skills.
A Master's degree is required. The incumbent must have knowledge of multicenter clinical trial operations. Candidates must have 3 years of relevant experience, 5 years preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted per University guidelines.
