    This position will manage a team of sponsored program administrators responsible for supporting investigators and departmental administrators in the pre- and post-award processes of sponsored projects. This position will provide direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of the SPA Grants team, including but not limited to reviewing/negotiating complex awards, reporting, training, compliance/policy interpretation, and development and implementation of non-financial post-award processes and procedures.

    UMB is a Maryland state university. Applicants are expected to reside in or be able to relocate to the State of Maryland. Consideration may also be given to residents of the District of Columbia, Delaware, Virginia, or West Virginia. This residency requirement also applies to those performing telework.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or other discipline appropriate to the position.

    Experience: Six (6) years of experience in the area of research administration or sponsored program administration
    Supervisory Experience: Three (3) years of direct management involved in recruitment, training, and professional development of staff.

    HIRING RANGE: $110,000 - $120,000 per year (Commensurate with education and experience)
