Looking to be part of something bigger in 2022? Come join our great team of Grant Proposal Specialists and provide the grant and budget expertise behind a University of Kentucky College of Medicine Research Faculty's next big discovery! Accounting for the majority of UK's National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding, the UK College of Medicine is the place to be for innovative, cutting-edge research in an extensive range of areas-from Cancer Research to Cardiovascular and Alzheimer's Diseases to COVID-19 and a lot in between. As part of the College of Medicine, our office, Sponsored Research Administrative Services (SRAS), plays an important part in supporting this great research from the administrative side.

As a Grant Proposal Specialist (GPS) (College Grant Officer) or Senior GPS, you'll provide grant proposal support to a group of departments and centers within the College of Medicine. You'll be primarily responsible for working with faculty on the administrative and budgetary aspects of their research proposals. As part of your daily responsibilities, you'll provide grant-related policy knowledge and guidance to College faculty members. The main goals are to ensure a high-level of compliance with all applicable policies and regulations, while helping to ensure that each proposal passes the muster of a sponsor's administrative and budgetary requirements. For each faculty member's proposal that is funded, we know that one of our staff members played a part in that success story.

    *        Grant Proposal Specialist: A Master's degree and 1 year of related experience.

    *        Senior Grant Proposal Specialist: A Master's degree and 4 years of related experience.

Per UK's equivalency policy, experience can substituted for education.  UK encourages all interested applicants to submit an application.
