The University Research Administration (URA) office provides oversight and support for all sponsored projects at the University of Chicago. URA offers competitive pay and benefits including flexible and remote work options. We are currently hiring for the following open positions:
JR13143 Pre-Award Research Administrator – The Pre-Award Research Administrator is responsible for supporting all central pre-award activities for sponsored projects at The University of Chicago. The individual in this position provides review, approval, endorsement and submission of proposals prepared by departmental grants personnel and routed through the AURA Grants system for institutional approval. This role also prepares full administrative portions of proposals, including budget development, for designated opt-in partners.
JR13228 Contract Officer – The Contract Officer is responsible for administering and coordinating proposals, awards, incoming subawards, clinical trial agreements, corporate sponsored research agreements, and other contract types as needed, for support of research, training, and other sponsored activities at The University of Chicago.
JR13141 Post-Award Research Administrator - The Post Award Research Administrator is responsible for identifying and remediating deviations from established account management expectations. Responsible for all financial and non-financial post-award activities for all sponsored projects for the University and acts as a liaison to sponsors for all departments and units assigned to the position.
JR13208 Director, Research Contracting – The Director, Research Contracting manages the day-to-day activities of the Research Contract Group (9), University Research Administration (URA) including supervision of a growing team of Contract Officers in the areas of Clinical Trials, Industry and Grants & Contracts.
JR13215 Senior Post-Award Research Administrator - The Senior Post-Award Research Administrator is responsible for identifying and remediating deviations from established award and account management expectations. Supervises assigned support staff in the administration and coordination of various grants and contracts for the support of research, training, and other sponsored activities at the University.
