How do you interact with Cayuse products on a daily basis?
As the Project Manager for UWA’s Cayuse Graduate Education Manager project, I interact with Graduate Education Manager daily. UWA implemented Graduate Education Manager in June 2022 and is the first university to work with Cayuse to develop a second module as part of the product for higher degree by research recruitment, admissions and scholarships. The first group of functionality for this module which includes a public portal for courses, projects and scholarships was implemented in August 2023. Further functionality is currently being developed and will be implemented in 2024.

What do you see as the hottest trends in research today?
Some of the hottest trends in research include interdisciplinary research collaborations, artificial intelligence and big data.

What do you consider most promising in the era of big data?
Big data has the potential to drive innovation, improve efficiency, and address complex challenges across diverse areas. Leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning on large datasets enables organisations to extract meaningful insights, identity patterns and trends, make predictions which facilitate data-driven decision making.

How can an organization stay relevant five years from now?
Organisations can stay relevant five years from now by being adaptable, innovative, agile and open to changes in trends, practices and processes.

What app would be hard for you to live without?
Facebook and Instagram as I have a passion for sharing my nature photography via both of these apps.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I am passionate about Australian nature, wildflowers and animals and my favourite hobby outside of work is nature mobile phone photography. Follow my adventures in nature via Facebook at Into Nature Photography with Jorja or Instagram – Jorja Cenin.  As a nature lover, I enjoy exploring Perth’s amazing Kings Park Botanic Garden and many other bushlands and reserves to see what’s in bloom and to do some nature photography. I also enjoy attending classical music concerts and musicals.

If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why?
As a Bachelor of Music honours graduate, it would be Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a classical composer and prodigy who wrote many amazing musical works including operas, symphonies, concertos and chamber works.

Thank you, Jorja, for being a Cayuse Champion and sharing your thoughts! Below is some of Jorja's nature photography.

What a great spotlight! I was briefly a Music major in college, thanks to my love of classical music, so I really enjoyed reading about Jorja's love of Mozart...me, too! So thankful for such amazing, interesting customers from across the globe!
