Hello Cayuse Community!  Apologies if I'm clogging up the General Discussions channel, but I wasn't sure where else to start.

Our institution is relatively new to the Cayuse platform and are implementing the Animal Oversight module over the coming months.  Is there a discussion community for the Animal Oversight module (and more specifically the IACUC Office element) where we can tap into the expertise of experienced users?

We're running into some bits and pieces that don't appear to map neatly from our current system, as well as some limitations we hadn't anticipated, and I would love to get advice from others on how to be as efficient as possible in our transition.

    Thanks in advance!

    Nadia

    Hi Nadia,

First of all, welcome! You're in the right place and you can absolutely post your questions in the General Discussion area. Because so many folks use multiple products and the way the products work together, we just have one single forum for things.

We have a great group of folks here, so I'm sure you'll get good advice.

    Simon

    Hi Nadia,

Welcome to Cayuse! I'm Sarah Josway, the product manager for the animal suite (Animal Oversight, Hazard Safety, Vivarium Operations, Vet Care, and Schedules.) We might have been introduced previously in a meeting. During implementation, your Professional Services Consultant can help you configure your protocol form to meet your needs. If you're seeing gaps in the application, please submit feedback and ideas via the Product Ideas page on the Community site. I'm always looking for ways to improve our applications, and I sincerely appreciate feedback and ideas from our community.

Another great way to connect with the Animal Oversight community is to consider joining the Customer Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB meets with the product team to discuss the roadmap, prioritize features, and drive the evolution of the application to better meet our customers' needs. Please let me know if you're interested, and I'll add you to our upcoming meeting and Basecamp project. There is no requirement for you to join or participate, but if you have time, we would love to have you contribute to our conversation.

    In partnership,

    Sarah

Thanks for reaching out, Sarah!  I am interested in learning more about the Customer Advisory Board.  Can you tell me more about what kind of time commitment would be involved  (meeting frequency, duration, time required outside of meetings, etc.) ?

    Thanks,
    Nadia

    Good morning!

My institition just completed the implementation process of Animal Oversight, we've been using it campus wide since January 8th with great feedback from PIs and committee members alike. I'm happy to chat! We also ran into some difficulties during implementation but, so far, I'm pleased with the solutions we came up with for questions like: Citi program intigration, reporting deviations/adverse events, etc. There are others questions (tracking reuse of animals) that we would be keen to see how others solved.

Hi Brittany – I'm not sure exactly how the system works, so apologies if I'm bombarding you with communications!  I'd love the chance to connect with you about your experiences with implementation!

    Thanks!

    Nadia

    Hello Nadia,

My institution has been using Animal Ops for 6 years and worked with the previous vendor (eSirius) since 2010.  We have not yet moved onto the cloud and are hosting onsite but if you have some specific questions on the form or how we are using the system for certain processes, I am happy to chat further.
