    Hi,

Sometimes I will enter a comment while I am reviewing an IRB submission but then realize I actually do not need it and want to delete out the comment. Unless I am completely missing something, it doesn't appear that there is a way to actually delete out a comment that was entered in error.  All I can do is just delete out the content, save and leave it "restricted".  What am I missing?

    Thanks!

    Hi Leigh,

That's correct - comments cannot be deleted from the record once saved. I encourage all my reviewers to input "disregard comment" or "comment no longer needed" rather than leaving it blank so that I know it wasn't unintentionally left blank.

You can also make it restricted so the PI doesn't see it at all.
