  • 1.  Compare Function Errors

    Hi,

    we've been experiencing frequent compare function errors (on Human Ethics Classic) in recent months and have no idea what could be causing them. Does anyone have any idea why there are errors and how to avoid them?

    Just to clarify, I am referring to the "Internal Server Error" message we receive when we click on the "Compare" button.

    I haven't noticed an error message recently when using COMPARE, but I have never been able to reliably use the COMPARE feature on more than one attachment without leaving the submission and going back in to start over. If I try to open COMPARE again and pick a new attachment to review without exiting the submission in between one of the following usually happens: I'm not able to click the radial dials next to the attachments, the compare button next to the attachment won't work, or it will pull up the attachments but pull in the same two versions, so it looks like nothing has ben changed.

    Hi Jorene,

    As we discussed in our meeting last week, this issue is slated to be fixed soon in Q2.
    We are moving away from storing IRB attachments within the database to storing them
    in a file server, which should address this issue.
