Hi Animal Oversight Community,

We have heard from you about the need for more robust reporting and data extraction tools to meet institutional requirements and policies. I'm very excited to share updates on two key initiatives to meet reporting needs. If your institution has access to these features, please take a moment to share your feedback and ideas for improvement. 

Report Connector

• All customers on the Cayuse Platform will be able to utilize a tool called Report Connector to extract datasets to use in reporting tools including PowerBI or Tableau. Jeff Sanders, Senior Technical Product Manager - Data, is leading the charge on this work. Please see this recent post with more details here.

In-Application Reporting

• Customers on the latest version of Animal Oversight will have access to new in-application reports. The new reports display data from tables in the Animal Oversight protocol form. The reporting tool allows you to manipulate, visualize, and extract data. Throughout the rest of 2024, we will deliver additional datasets to the in-application reporting tool including:

• • Animal Oversight protocol tables
  • Animal Oversight submission review history
  • Animal Oversight register transactions
  • Animal Oversight committee meeting attendance

We will continue to deliver on this initiative by expanding the scope to add datasets from the rest of the applications in the Risk and Resource Management suite including Hazard Safety, Training Records, Vivarium Operations, Vet Care, and Schedules.
