Vitae Connections Week 2021

Starts:  Sep 7, 2021 09:00 (BST)
Ends:  Sep 10, 2021 16:00 (BST)

Last year, almost 300 participants came together virtually from 17 countries, spanning Europe, Asia, North America, Africa and Australia. Building on that success, Vitae Connections Week (#VitaeCon2021) will return from 7 to 10 September 2021. We invite you to join us remotely for four days of keynote presentations, expert panels, roundtables, workshops, and social activities, as well as a collection of videos and documents available to browse on demand. Be ‘out of office’ while you meet participants, contributors, and exhibitors, or dip in and out to suit your other commitments or time zone. Either way, the Vitae team will be here to welcome you to this highly interactive and varied event.

The platform was fantastic, I thought it was really easy to use and to find other people to network with (especially ahead of the session)"

Researcher development policy and practice have made dramatic shifts over the past year; responding to accelerating trends such as demand for provision that is accessible to a distributed and remote audience, and supporting researchers facing unanticipated challenges and a rapidly changing working environment. We will review the short and potential longer term impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on researcher development, researchers and the wider context for research, and regroup to build on the potential positive outcomes and mitigate or recover from any negative outcomes.
