Hi Amy,
This may be related to using an outdated version (Bend), but we would not be able to rely fully on our Full Document Review for two reasons:
1) We can't insert "numbered" notes (ie, targeting specific areas in a text field).
2) The protocol text is not accurately updated in certain sections (eg, Strains, Agents) after it has been revised by the PI in response to prior comments.
It's possible that later Cayuse versions have overcome these issues.
What I do find the Full Document Review useful for is being able to view the prior comments, alongside reviewing the tracked changes in the View Changes panel in the standard review mode (I usually also open a 3rd window, the Preview of the Office Notes, so I can see where any numbered comments were targeted).
It's not ideal to have to have 3 windows open at a time, but until we have a version that overcomes all the reviewer hurdles, it's very useful!

I am working on step-by-step instructions for our IACUC members for the protocol review process but I anticipate there being some confusion even with my instructions. I just figured out that you can also add review notes in the Full Document Review window, which seems a bit simpler, especially for those not very computer savvy. I'm wondering if anyone uses that method exclusively, only uses the toolbox within the platform, or a hybrid. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
