Under minimal supervision from the Sponsored Research Manager in the division, the grant manager is responsible for pre-award coordination of all sponsored research applications as well as post-award support through closeout for a PMA faculty member and their respective research group in the Astronomy and Astrophysics area. The job primarily, also supports a NASA contract for a space telescope build and works with JPL partners in the financial analysis, reporting, contract negotiation and compliance oversight, including reporting to Caltech, JPL, NASA the Division Chair, and the Sponsored Research Manager, thus providing a full spectrum of service to the faculty while communicating effectively with all campus and JPL parties.
