  • 1.  IRB/Human Ethics bug - asterisks missing from required questions

    Hi Human Ethics users,

    We're preparing to go live with Human Ethics, and found that with the latest update the asterisks stopped appearing on some (but not all) of the required questions on our submissions. Some of our forms are pretty complex/lengthy, so we're very concerned users won't be able to figure out what they missed as they learn to do submissions in Cayuse. We reported this to Cayuse in case #47802.

    If this is a concern for your institution too, please let Cayuse know so they can prioritize fixing this appropriately.

    Hello Jennie,

    We have not seen this problem so I tested it within our submission templates, and I think I was able to replicate it. We get the asterisk when the properties for the item is switched to Required, but we do not get the asterisk when another item Requires the item. We do not use the Requires item for any of our questions, which is why we haven't had any reports of the problem. But it certainly seems like an issue if the Requires function does not work properly.
