    Hello,

We meet with our Customer Success Manager a couple of weeks ago and we were talking about the new Cayuse Sponsored Project upgrade.

I was wondering how many of you are planning on upgrading to the new Cayuse Sponsored Projects? Or if you decided not to upgrade, what were the reasons for this decision?

I am also curious, how are you preparing for the upgrade, do you have any resources that you are willing to share?

If you already upgraded or implemented, are there lessons learned or items that you wish were included when first upgrading?

I know, that was a lot of questions but my head is spinning, just thinking about how to get the most out of this upgrade.

We haven't implemented the upgrade, but I can't wait, FWIW.  Any software change brings the "joy" of learning a new system, so... there's that.  But even so, the ability to customize the pages.... that had me sold right there.

    Hi Vibeke,

If you're referring to the Platform, we do plan to upgrade, but we have a few go-no-go decision points first in terms of functionality.  In other words, there are some features that aren't quite ready to go on the Platform, and until they are, we can't see changing what currently works for us.  We understand the implementation is going to take several months, and we don't want to use all that effort in upgrading to something that isn't significantly better than what we have.

    cheers,
    -Lisa

    Hi Vibeke,

We are in the same situation that Andrea Buford is in. We have not yet upgraded to the new system. We are in the process of implementing HR Connect and Fund Manager (we already have Outside Interests on the Platform) and we will be implementing Effort once we are done with the Fund Manager implementation. We don't have a specific timeframe for the upgrade, but it will sometime in 2022 (hopefully early in the year).

We are in the process of determining what we need to have in place for the upgrade.  We consider it another implementation since there are so many changes that will be coming with the upgrade.  With that in mind, our main focus is currently on making sure our data is up to date and reliable ahead of moving it over into the platform.  We are also starting to have conversations with the various offices within Research to determine what we would like our IPF to look like in the new version.
