Position Overview:
The University of Pittsburgh's, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a Pre-Award Administrator who will be responsible for the preparation and submission of all financial data related to the submission of grants and contracts within the Pediatrics Division. Specifically, the incumbent is responsible for the preparation of grant and contract budgets following specific guidelines, for both laboratory and clinical trial applications, provide policy interpretation, and procedure guidance to investigators and their staff, analyze budget justification for accuracy and thoroughness, and other pre-award activities as assigned. In addition, the incumbent will activate new sub awards in which prior pre-award work was never done. The administrator will also be responsible for negotiating clinical trial budgets and coordinating/running meetings to go over new clinical trials and amendments. This position requires a well organized individual who can multi-task and who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. This position is located at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. Bachelors degree in Business, accounting, finance, or related field with 1-2 years of experience. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
