Our office is currently working a hybrid schedule but we do not yet know what the University policy will be post-COVID. Job Description Summary:
The Senior Grants and Contracts Manager directly supervises and manages the Grants and Contracts Managers (GCMs) on the Reynolda Campus of Wake Forest University. The Senior GCM will distribute workloads and assign GCMs to units across the university, i.e. Schools, Programs, & College Departments. Responsibilities also include hiring, training, and mentoring GCMs, as well as resolving problems in a timely manner. In addition, the Senior GCM must appraise the GCM's performance using input directly from faculty and staff, as well as information from unit administrative leaders such as Associate Deans for Research and Departmental Chairs. The Senior GCM will also act as a GCM for faculty in various units that have little proposal/grant activity as well as for the USAID grant, and other grants & proposals that are from the Center for Energy, Environment & Sustainability (CEES). The Senior GCM will work closely with faculty leaders such as the Associate Provost for Research & Scholarly Inquiry, the Associate Deans for Research in Schools & the College, and also with Departmental Chairs when policy and process decisions warrant it.
