Note: This is not a post-award grants management role. This position manages the departmental budget and related programs for the RSP office. Here are some details:
Major Duties
Under general supervision of the AVP, the Budget Analyst provides complex financial analysis, research, forecasting, and budget development for the office of Research & Sponsored Programs (RSP) including coordinating with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies. The incumbent facilitates and assists with administrative planning, Human Resources related issues, and allocation and management of budgetary and physical resources.
- Facilitates RSP budget planning, and performs technical budget analysis, including tracking/oversight of receipts, spending, and allocation of all funds, and analyzing costs in relation to budget.
- Gathers data and prepares reports and materials for Grant Related Instructional Faculty progress, Large Grant Program monitoring, and institutional and auxiliary committee meetings.
- Independently prepares reports, analysis, and projects for AVP and Managing Director. Gathers data and prepares materials for Large Grant Program and Grant Related Instructional Faculty Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
