Grant Accountant, Post-award, Kent State Univ

  • 1.  Grant Accountant, Post-award, Kent State Univ

    Posted 12-10-2021 16:22

After an initial in-person training period, this position can be hybrid, with some work possible to be performed remotely, and some work required to be performed in person.

In a nutshell, the office of Grants Accounting works with faculty members, department support personnel, and sponsoring agencies.  We monitor grant expenditures for compliance with Kent State policies, government regulations, and the terms/conditions set forth by sponsors.  We compile invoices and financial reports, process journal entries, and gather documentation requested by independent auditors.   The day-to-day work is comprised of a fair amount of auditing, a bit of forensic accounting, a dash of public administration, and lots of teamwork.  We are a dynamic group of professionals with a good sense of humor looking for a sixth member to complete our team.

The Accountant I position is an entry level learning position.

Kent State University offers great benefits that include educational benefits, access to a plethora of wellness programs, health care options to choose from, generous paid vacation/sick leave, an end of year winter break and employer retirement contributions.

    Deadline to apply is 12/16/2021.
