Job Summary:
|
Provide PRE-AWARD sponsored programs activities to DASNR department faculty and staff, including, but not limited to proposal development, budget development, and proposal submission.
*Submit approximately 100-150 proposal per year.
*Maintain a thorough knowledge of sponsors' programs, regulations and requirements for proposal development and submission. Review and evaluate proposals and assist faculty in meeting proposal requirements, including fiscal accuracy and administrative compliance.
*Advise faculty and staff in preparing appropriate proposal budgets, including the calculation of indirect costs and determining the allowability of indirect costs.
*Coordinate supporting proposal documentation with project personnel that may be housed in other colleges at OSU or at other institutions.
*Maintain a thorough knowledge of electronic proposal submission programs and coordinate the submission of electronic proposals.
*Maintain a thorough knowledge of regulations applicable to sponsored programs administration ? federal, state and private. This includes OMB Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, & Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, CAS, FAR and the State of Oklahoma purchasing policies. Also maintain a thorough knowledge of University policies concerning sponsored programs, intellectual property, compliance and other related issues. These regulations are revised frequently.

Position Qualifications:
|
Required:
Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Business Administration, Agriculture or related field with 3 years of experience in business administration or related field
Ability to manage multiple tasks under external deadlines. Expertise in computer information systems and programs; effective negotiating and decision-making skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups of individuals; strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects independently. Experience with sponsored project administration, fiscal management, or related business field, preferably in public institutional setting.
Preferred:
3 years of experience in sponsored programs/research administration
Knowledge of Grants.gov workspace, Research.gov, NSF Fastlane, NIH eRA Commons
